Brokn Legend Represented by MMPR

Contemporary hat brand Brokn Legend will launch its debut Spring/Summer collection on www.broknlegend.com today. "The Great Escape" collection represents a man's companion in his journey through life; declaring a hat as not just an accessory, but also as an essential.

The designs of Brokn Legend are rough around the edges yet effortlessly stylish to symbolize the individual who wears them. With styles including "The Traveler ($135)," "The Midpoint ($115)," and "The Wildlife ($115)," the collection exudes the freedom that comes along with wearing these tastefully rugged caps. "A man shouldn't have to compromise, and by wearing Brokn Legend you won't have to. Being able to be yourself is the ultimate luxury" says founder, Anthony Capt.

The brand's mission is to provide its customers with the perfect everyday hat. This is achieved by a combination off vintage aesthetics, a classic shape and high quality materials to create an effortlessly stylish look for men that don't want to compromise on quality but still want to look casual. Whether demonstrated in the leather backstraps and underbrims, strategically placed slogans, or simply in the distressed detail throughout, expert craftsmanship and extreme attention to detail is apparent. The patches see on Brokn Legend hats represent souvenirs picked up throughout life's journey, while the high-quality denim used embodies one's favorite pair of jeans kept and worn throughout life.

The name 'Brokn Legend' challenges society's belief that in order to be a legend, one needs to do something extraordinary; Brokn Legend believes that to be a legend, one must embrace a state of mind. The man wearing this hat is true to himself, raw at times, but always real. He sees the irony in the modern legend, and redefines it. He is "the other" kind of legend, the Brokn Legend. The full collection is scheduled to launch in mid April, though certain styles will be available for purchase in March on the Brokn Legend website. Prices range from $115-$135.

BEAUTY BOX PHOTO - Hollywood's Digital Makeup App

Beauty Box Photo™ is a revolutionary new smartphone application that takes exclusive digital imaging technology used by Hollywood and empowers users to look their best in every photo. With Beauty Box Photo’s technology at your fingertips skin imperfections and lines are easily erased. The iOS app (iPhone & iPad) offers a free, fun, and easy to use Digital Makeup™with just a few taps, so people can have celebrity perfection without the price tag.

Beauty Box Photo’s unprecedented technology is subtle and natural looking so no one has to know. It offers a layer of Digital Makeup that takes away harsh edges and blemishes while staying true to the user’s essence. The user interface is self-explanatory and comes with 15 free pre-set photo styles from Reality Star to Twilight.

Unlike other smartphone apps on the market, Beauty Box Photo doesn’t require complicated user interaction to do its magic. Once the user enters their skin type and age, the Digital Makeup technology automatically identifies skin tones, lighting and coloration to apply the level of smoothing that the user requests and create a magazine worthy picture.
Social Engagement is a large part of everyday life and Beauty Box allows users to share photos with friends by uploading pictures to sites including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. To make the process even more exciting, it is integrated with Lifemusing.com*, an exciting new photo-sharing site that gives people the power to share their photos with an entire community or limited groups of friends. *Additional information about Lifemusing.com below.

Beauty Box Photo was created by Digital Anarchy founder, Jim Tierney, after seeing first hand how much work goes into touching up rock stars and celebrities in music videos and movies. Beauty Box solved that problem for the likes of HBO, NBC, and Universal Music and now it will do it for anyone with an iPhone. Today, since everyone, not just professionals, are shooting with high definition and/or high-resolution cameras, skin imperfections are easily noticeable in photographs, especially when combined with the harsh lighting of camera phone flashes. Thus, Jim realized we could all benefit from his Digital Makeup technology and Beauty Box Photo was born.
For users that want to use Beauty Box on video, similar to how networks and studio use it, a web-based version for non-professionals is coming soon.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Beauty Box Photo was created and conceived by Jim Tierney and Garrick Meeker, founders of Digital Anarchy and lifemusing.com. They’ve been developing software for film, television, and photography since 1995, which has been used on countless feature films, commercials, music videos and photographs. Digital Anarchy was founded in 2001 and has clients such as NBC, HSN, E! Entertainment, and Universal Music. They’re proud to be helping lifemusing.com bring this technology to iPhone users and everyone.

ABOUT LIFEMUSING.COM

Created by the founders of Beauty Box Photo, Lifemusing.com is a new photo-sharing site designed to function the way people live their lives, sometimes publicly, and sometimes privately. Users can manage, organize and share their photographic moments with specific groups of friend, targeted social networks and the entire world. Photos uploaded to Lifemusing can be reposted to social networks including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. At the center of Lifemusing are the Collections, which can be public or private. Private collections allow only invited members to see, upload and comment on pictures so all the images from a night on the town can be shared in one specific place. In addition to allowing users to upload photos from their devices of choice, Lifemusing is fully integrated with the Beauty Box Photo mobile app so Beauty Box fans have an entire social community dedicated to their new favorite app.

LONDONEDGE Was Once Again Edgy and Buzzing

LONDONEDGE
25th -27th January 2013
The National Hall - London Olympia

This January 2013 LondonEdge was once again an edgy, buzzing and energetic affair.
Catering to a group of the most creative and exciting ‘niches’ in fashion and accessories, LondonEdge is the perfect trade show for those looking for a broad range of distinctive fashion styles combined with a no holds barred attitude. An incredible array of brands showcased their collections in both LondonEdge Original and LondonEdge Fashion; a parade of dramatic footwear, elaborate corsets, extravagant jewellery, fancy dress, hosiery, bondage accessories and more.

Visitors, buyers and exhibitors travelled from 5 of the 6 continents to this one of a kind show, with an overall 36 countries represented at the event.

As well as top attendance figures from Germany, France, Italy and Belgium, this January 2013 show additionally saw the highest Japanese attendance for some time. This seasons new dates also proved popular with 73% of attendees pre registering and an even spread of attendance across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

With such a comprehensive range of brands available there truly is something for everyone. Visitors were drawn to Pamela Mann's statement hosiery and Loungefly's edgy and feminine bags, available in an assortment of patterns from leopard print to skulls.
Collectif's vintage inspired dresses and Vanity Projects quirky 1950s retro collection appealed to the rockabilly consumer whilst Prong Jewellery's heavily studded necklaces and cuffs proved popular with the rock and goth lovers.

Accessories and footwear brands dominated the show floor with incredible platform boots and glitter shoes from Pleaser USA, rockabilly jewellery from Bubblegum Vegas and sophisticated head pieces from Slightly Scarlet.

As well as serving up a wide variety of punk, retro and rock labels, LondonEdge consistently provides an eclectic mix of live performance and visual arts entertainment. Taking to the stage this January, Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Billy George wowed the crowd with his Cyr Wheel skills, manoeuvring the steel wheel around the stage with effortless grace.
Stephen Williams hand balance and strap routine had people on the edge of their seats with an upbeat and dynamic performance, whilst taking to the air Yvette Du Sol performed a moving silk aerial dance displaying extreme flexibility and strength.

Drawing a huge crowd on Friday and Sunday, Carrie Ann O'Dell's Dita Von Teese inspired burlesque performance oozed sexuality and sophistication. Sitting nicely with the 1930's and 40's style exhibitors, this burlesque show was extremely evocative of the genre's golden age.

After three busy and exciting days on the stalls, LondonEdge was wrapped up on Sunday with the announcement of the UGLY™ Models x LondonEdge modelling competition. With a unique outlook, the UGLY™ philosophy is simple, ‘any beauty can be airbrushed but we want our look to have true character’. Priding themselves in hand picking all models and ensuring they have a look for every market, the agency were on the prow for a lucky winner to snatch up a 12 month contract and stylised photo shoot.

With a variety of standout styles and beauty at the show, competition was rife but 13 semi finalists were finally shortlisted and after strutting their stuff on the stage, rockabilly beauty Georgine Horne took the crown with Stephanie and Malikah taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.

With UGLY's belief that 'no one is too abstract' and LondonEdge's eclectic array of exhibitors and visitors, this partnership proved to be very fitting.

With over a decade under its belt, LondonEdge is one of the longest standing and consistent fashion trade shows in the UK and it continues to offer an exciting and ever-evolving platform for its UK, European and worldwide exhibitors. Constantly developing to meet the needs of its exhibitors, the next show will fall on its traditional dates - Sunday 1st - Tuesday 3rd September 2013.

We are excited to see what LondonEdge has in store!
